I have to admit…Golden Milk Iced Coffee is one of the stranger recipes I’ve seen over the years. However, it’s actually quite good and is very healthy. Several of the ingredients in this recipe have proven health benefits. Not the least of which is turmeric.
If you aren’t used to consuming turmeric you may want to start with just a quarter of a teaspoon. After you become accustomed to it, you can add more. Also, the black pepper is simply in there to help with the turmeric absorption, you can’t actually taste it viagra generika preis.
Turmeric has been used in India medicinally for thousands of years. It contains bioactive compounds that have powerful medicinal properties. Unfortunately, it is difficult to absorb into the bloodstream (hence the black pepper). Turmeric has been known to be a natural anti-inflammatory, to increase the antioxidant capacity of the body, to improve brain function, to lower your risk of heart disease, and even to help with arthritis.
Another Golden Milk Iced Coffee ingredient with health benefits is chia seeds. Chia seeds provide a massive amount of nutrients with very few calories. They are loaded with antioxidants and they are high in quality protein and Omega-3 fatty acids. They have also been known to reduce inflammation, your blood sugar, and your risk of heart disease.
Who knew you could get healthier from drinking iced coffee!
To complete the recipe, you will need some cold brew, plant-based milk (such as almond or soy), maple syrup (delicious!), cinnamon, vanilla extract, and cardamom.
