The Kruve Sifter – Making Good Coffee Great
Americans are coffee addicts…we just are. I don’t know about you, but I drink at least 2 – 3 large cups a day. Not only are we coffee addicts, but many of us have become coffee connoisseurs. We are constantly on the search for that ever elusive holy grail of coffee, the “perfect cup”.
We buy filtered water, we install reverse osmosis systems, we search for the best possible beans. Single – origin, fair trade, organic….oh yes, we are becoming coffee snobs. But that’s OK, because coffee is important. It’s what gets us up and moving. It’s what keeps us productive throughout the day. It’s the fuel that feeds our fire.
So you have it down to a science. You have the perfect water, you have the perfect beans. You grind your coffee fresh every day, and know the exact coffee to water ratio that you need. What can take your coffee to the next level? I will tell you…It’s the perfect grind. That’s where the Kruve Sifter comes in.
What Is The Kruve Sifter?
The Kruve sifter is, to put it simply…a coffee ground sifter. It uses two etched sieves. A large one to filter out grounds that are too big, and a small one to filter out grounds that are too small, leaving you with perfectly sized grounds for your perfect cup of coffee.
While the concept is simple, the technology behind it is anything but. The Kruve is an award winning invention that has been featured in Life Hacker, GQ, and Barista Magazine to name a few. It is crafted out of food grade aluminum alloy, making it both attractive and durable. The sieves that it uses to sift your coffee are made using photo etching technology and are accurate down to the Micron.
While I could go on about the feature and benefits of the Kruve all day, I think this video will give you a good visual of how and why it works.
How To Use The Kruve Sifter
The Kruve sifter is incredibly easy to use. You simply choose the sieves you need , add your grinds, and shake back and forth for 30 – 60 seconds. What you are left with is the ground gold that will make you the perfect cup of coffee.
“But what size sieve do I need?”, you ask. Well, that depends. Kruve offers 15 different sieves, creating 105 possible grind sizes. Your grind size will change depending on your brewing method. For instance, you are going to want a coarser grind if you are making cold brew, than you would with an Aero Press or a regular hot drip brewer. Whatever way you like to brew your coffee, Kruve has you covered with this handy info graphic.
Why Do I Need The Kruve Sifter?
You might not be a coffee connoisseur. You might not even be a real coffee addict, but everyone would rather have a good cup of coffee than a bad one.
Whether you have your beans delivered fresh or you buy them already ground at the grocery store…..whether you use reverse osmosis filtered water, or water straight from your tap….the Kruve sifter is an easy and affordable way to make your coffee that much better. To take it to the next level.
If you break the cost down over the life of your Kruve, you are paying less than 1 cent per cup. That is a small price to pay for great coffee!
